I do wish people in this forum stop referring to 'the military' as though they were some sort of alien life-forms. 'The military' are people, and even if you happen to be in the oh-so-unique moral high ground of opposing war and violence from your comfortable desk, soldiers deserve the best kit we can afford to give them. Ditto for the returning veterans. And their families.

Are you people seriously applauding this? What a waste of our tax dollars!! I do contracts with the Navy every single day and I know that the technology that they have will not be benefited by the use of iPad/iPod/iPhone. The military does not offer wi-fi to their staff on base. Everything is hard wired and the conduit is sealed with a tamper proof silicon. The Government is very very particular about their SIPRnet (as they call it). Without wi-fi, what use is the iPad for the military other than to give them a little treat and waste our tax dollars? They already have mobile equipment in the vehicles that is far superior to Apple's products.
Every officer I know has a gov't issued blackberry. The iphone and ipad don't necessarily need wifi to be of value.

Just received my 64GB 3G iPad from AT&T online, so I don't feel like I missed out. $529 for the previous top of the line model was to good to pass up.
I was intending to wait for the iPad 2, but for $29 more than the 16GB Wi-Fi iPad 2, I was able to get the 64GB Wi-Fi + 3G iPad 1. :)

Online delivery is lower price than the physical artifact because it COSTS LESS. Interestingly the net $ to the publisher is HIGHER with online despite the fact target and Wal-Mart sell at loss leader prices.
These facts means future CD/DVD artifact sales will be slight premium propositions and will of course remain valid for a long time.
BUT online sales should not only take a big market share, but ADD customers from people which are convenience oriented or physically away from a big box retailer.
Besides it is inevitable.

it's a bit cliche that song now. but i do love rage against the machine. that whole album is a work of art. one of the few albums I can listen to all the way through without skipping a track...
OT, i hope the band get together for a whole album again. be interesting to see how different the music would sound now these days. i dont think tom & the rest of the band have developed much (audioslave) but zac's work (what little he has done) since rage has been interesting...

You are the one who said that a 200mm EF lens would produce a different image than a 200mm EF-s lens when mounted on the same camera. That is the quote is a complete sentence from your post. To those waiting for the next MacBook Air, if the refresh includes Sandy Bridge and a backlit keyboard however has Intel HD Graphics 3000 as the GPU, will you simply pick up this generation's unit at a discount or opt for the refresh?
There are arguments that Sandy Bridge won't be noticeable in actual day to day activities like browsing the web and watching HD movies however it is argued that the graphics will take a big hit, especially when looking at the 13" MacBook Pros.

The sad part apparently is that although Nintendo hope for a big success they won't launch their console with any special games released by them. Apparently they will hope 3d parties will launch and promote the console with their apps.

I am still having no sound and no badges. I have tried reinstalling the app and doing a hard reset. Nothing. All I am getting is the alert but nothing else.

OS X and iOS are both going to grow very strong in previewed in depth at WWDC, rollouts later 3rd/4th qtrs. 2011 will indeed see real solidification of each's collaborative strengths.
